Share your screen. Keep your secrets.

Hidder frosts passwords, tokens, emails and private tabs the instant you start sharing your screen — so your viewers see the demo, never the credentials.

Only the shared stream is masked — on your own screen the fields stay perfectly readable.

How it works

It masks the stream, not your screen.

Hidder never touches what you see. It intercepts the captured video and frosts the risky regions before they reach anyone else.

1

Detects the share

The moment a page calls getDisplayMedia, Hidder wraps the capture — full screen, a window, or a single tab.

2

Finds the secrets

It locates password, login, email and token fields across every visible tab and frame, and tracks them as you scroll or zoom.

3

Frosts them live

Each region is pixelated frame-by-frame — glyphs are destroyed by averaging, not just softened. Viewers see frost; you see everything.

Built for real shares

Careful about the details that leak.

Screen sharing is messy — windows move, you alt-tab, you zoom. Hidder keeps up without covering the wrong thing.

Real pixelation

Each masked block averages a 16×16 region, so text is genuinely unreadable — not a light blur you can squint through.

Full screen, window or tab

Works across every capture surface, mapping each field to the right spot in the frame regardless of scale.

Follows motion

Frame-rate tracking inflates masks in the direction you scroll or drag, so nothing peeks out during fast movement.

Knows when you leave

Switch to another app and the masks drop instantly — no gray boxes floating over the window you moved to.

One switch

A frosted panel with a single toggle. On means protecting; off means you can see exactly what's exposed.

100% local

Everything runs in your browser. No servers, no accounts, no telemetry — nothing about your screen ever leaves the machine.

The control

Protection, at a glance.

Click the toolbar icon and a frosted panel drops in — showing what's protected, on which tabs, right now. Flip it off and the count turns red so you know exactly what a viewer would catch.

  • Live field & tab count while you share
  • A frost preview of the effect, in-panel
  • Adapts to your system light or dark theme

Your secrets never travel.

Hidder does all of its work inside your browser. It has no backend, collects nothing, and asks for exactly the access it needs to frost fields during a share — and nothing more.
